Ganga, Sindhu, Narmada

Ganga, Sindhu, Narmada
Rivers like Kaveri and Jamuna
They are flowing just like before
Where are those people from the past?

The reticent, reserved Himalaya
Is standing tall with all its reverence
Only the sages donít live there anymore
We are not the same people anymore.

There is sky above us
Without the divinity of Indra
There is mountain of Kailash without the grandeur of Siva
The children of god are begging now
Is this our destiny?
Where are those people from the past?

There is Agra Fort
Delhi is still there too
Without the glory of almighty king
The Kohinoor is stolen
The Peacock throne is missing too
Our valiant soldiers are history now

Does anyone have the answer?
Shall we do nothing, nothing at all?
What else is waiting for us?
Shall we accept this as our cruel fate?
Where are those people from the past?

Ganga, Sindhu, Narmada
Rivers like Kaveri and Jamuna
They are flowing just like before
Where are those people from the past?
